Cabaret Voltaire is the place where, a century ago, the Romanian artist and writer TRISTAN TZARA initiated the DADA avant-garde movement.
Over 100 years of cultural relations Romania – Switzerland are marked by a performance in which art, literature and theater interweave. Tristan Tzara, Marcel Iancu, and Lucian Blaga, are just a few well-known figures who lived and created in Switzerland. From Tristan Tzara and the emergence of Cabaret Voltaire we have traversed a century of utopias and ideals of overturning conventions. Mirela assumes the interactive artistic climate of the 20th century, and exploits color beyond colorists, beyond conventions, transforming the body into a landscape, a manifesto, for writing and decorative motifs from ancestral history …
The invitation addresses the art-loving audience and to the specialists active in the field. We are inviting you to join us at the body painting event held by MIRELA TRISTARU, artist and painter, PhD student at the West University of Timisoara, Romania.
The curator of the event is Ioan Augustin Pop, artist and doctoral coordinator at the same university in Timisoara.
The project conceived by the curator and Mirela Trăistaru starts from the background inherited from the avant-garde tradition and brings us here, on June 28, 2018. In order for you to see this, dear art lovers, we invite you to join us!
