Paris-based Galerie Itinerrance presents the ‘Djerbahood‘ project on the island of Djerba, Tunisia, which brings a massive group of 150 street artists from more than 30 countries to transform the historical village into a vibrant open air museum. The creatives have left their mark on the ancient city’s walls and doors, masking the town with both large- and small-scale murals for both locals and tourists to marvel at. Colorful pieces of energetic artworks in all different styles and techniques are seen scattered throughout the historic landscape and especially on abandoned buildings in a fascinating manner. Some of the international artists involved are Alexis Diaz from Puerto Rico, Swoon from America, French artist C125, ROA and David Del La Mano, just to name a few. This massive art invasion ‘Djerbahood‘ project in Tunisia has allowed for an emergence of art and design within the community.
