During the Edo period (XVI-XIX century) the printed and books illustrated with woodcuts technique, over 500 years were important sources for information dissemination and education in Japan, creating a communication revolution similar with the electronic media today . Today the classic book is on its way disappearing, artist book / book object is an artistic response opposite to the confusing media world and the rapidly production of information, with many images and symbols. The exhibition opening will be on 4th August 2017 on 6:00 PM at the Gallery Yume Tsuzuki in Tokyo

ルーマニアと日本人のアーチストによるブックアート展を開催します。
この展覧会は、「EIBAB（European International Book Art Biennale）」と
「ドルティア・フライスと東西アーチスト」の２団体が、
過去、欧米・インドなどで開催した「Book Art Exhibition」の
日本での初めての開催となります。
『本』という括りの中で、アーチストの思いを表出する展覧会です。 （髙田）
物質としての本は、情報伝達の手段として
印刷技術の発達と共に数千年の歴史を刻んできた。
今、紙という記録メディアは、電子記録へと急速な移行が進んでいる。
その過渡期に生きるものとして、
過去と未来と新たな物質としての本が内包する意味合いを探り、
ありさまを模索するのは至極自然なことであろう。
今回は、美術家の視点から見る、その思いを展示する試みである。
展示内容 ： 両国それぞれ約２０名の作家の作品を展示。Ａ４サイズ、素材自由。
