The Museum of Bucovina Suceava, in collaboration with The Library of Bucovina ’’I.G. Sbiera’’ Suceava and the County Council of Suceava are proud to present the International Graphic Art Contest – First Edition 2012. The contest is born with the goal of promoting contemporary art and friendship among artists from all over the world.

1. Online submission Deadline: April 1st, 2012 2. Winners of the 54 group show artists release:
May 10, 2012 – All the 54 selected artists will send to the museum the artworks for the group show organized on the 8th of June, 2012. The deadline for the arrival of artworks is 10th of May 2012.
3. Winners of the 4 awards release: June, 1st, 2012.

I. Who can apply?
The contest is open to artists from all over the world without any limit of age and nationality.

II. Awards
– The Museum of Bucovina Trophy (1000 euro) and 3 honorable mentions. Another 50 artists will be selected for a group show at the Museum of Bucovina, if they agree to donate the artworks to the museum.
– A group show of the winning artists and another 50 artists selected by the jury from all the participants, at the Museum of Bucovina, in June 2012.
All yours artworks for competition must be send by e-mail: [email protected] , dimensions: max 3500×2500 pixels, max. resolution 300 pixels/inch, max 1MB. The selection of the artworks will be made on-line and the selected works will be posted on the site of the museum,

III. Entry fee?
There is a 25 euro entry fee to submit online up to 2 artworks. Only the 54 artists whose works have been selected for the group show must pay the entry fee.

A maximum of 2 artworks may be submitted, per person.

VI. When the selected works will be posted by web page ?

VII. Which is the size of an artwork?
The size of the artwork will be max. 30×40 cm, must be made on paper or board. The artworks must be sent unframed. The deadline for the arrival of artworks is 10th of May 2012.

VIII. When will the winners be announced?
The names of the winners will be notified on the official website of the contest through a press release on June 1st, 2012.

IX. The winners will be selected following the criteria of quality of the work, originality, uniqueness.
The organizers are not responsible for the mail damages of the artworks.

IX. The artists who are interested to donate their artworks to the Museum of Bucovina will receive a donation certificat. The awarded works will enter the collection of the Museum of Bucovina.

X. The artworks of the artists who do not agree to donate them to the museum, will be returned until 31st of December 2012.
