Parallel to the 54th edition of ILLUMIinations of the Venice Biennale takes place Glastress 2011, an exhibition devoted to the various art forms made of glass. Artists, architects and designers around the world gather to express their ideas and thoughts through glass; their works are focused on exploring the possibilities and limitations of this material. Until November 27, Glastress will present works and projects from recognized figures like Jean Arp, Barbara Bloom, Louise Bourgeois, Daniel Buren, Jan Fabre, Lucio Fontana, Joseph Kosuth, Jannis Kounellis, Orlan, Jean Michel Othoniel, Robert Rauschenberg, Man Ray , Kimiko Yoshida, Zhang Huan, Kiki Smith, among others.
