The exhibition presents works from the 1980s and present times by famous Romanian photo and installation artist Iosif Kiraly. Iosif Kiraly is one of the most influential installation artists in Romania in the 1980s & 1990s, being one of the founder of subREAL group. The curator Ileana Pintilie selected works from Kiraly’s performance and installation early period and decided to exhibit them together with new photography works. Searching for the decisive moment. Between document and fiction is a contemporary art exhibition which combines works from the 1980s and from present times by Iosif Kiraly.
